Well, without Jesus, the human race would have been spared a great deal of ignorance, stupidity, sexism, racism, homophobia, oppression, torture, and genocide. There'd have been no motivation for the crusades, the inquisitions, the witch trials, the holocaust, or the westboro baptists. Of course there would still be violence and hate, before you harp on that, but my point is it'd be greatly reduced.
I do understand that the general nature of humanity is hostile. But I think it is you who underestimates what a massive negative impact christianity has had on the world, and how much better off we'd have been without it. Have you seen that chart around the internet indicating the massive drop in human development after the christian dark ages?
My attitude's just fine, thanks. I respond to that which is ridiculous with ridicule. I don't see anything wrong with that. Had you not made that dumbass observation, after I had already predicted it and corrected it, then I'd have not called you a fucking retard.
Predicted or not, your attitude is the reason why many Christian people believe all non-Christians are rude. You might want to present yourself better.
And really? Christians from all ages did much contribution to society throughout history. Sure, they persecuted those who were not of their faith, but what other religious/ideological group hasn't at one point and time? To be honest, the witch hunts had only a few hundred thousand victims over the entire medieval period, and even faithful Christians who spoke out against it were killed along with true pagans or people who were falsely persecuted for political reasons.
I feel horrible that people in the past and present have wrongly killed or demonized others in God's name when really that wasn't His intention, especially since a large majority of the populace, including nobles, couldn't read or write and making them unable to read the Latin Bible; there's also the fact that for a long time the Church forbade the private study of the Bible at home. Everything they knew depended on the preaching at the church and by greedy, corrupted religious officials who twisted their faith to fit their agenda. The true problem, then, is not a sole religion, but masks, lies, deceit, and cruel people willing to use something that is supposed to be sacred and staining it with their persecutions.
If you want to proclaim to the world how horrible my faith is, do so with maturity and respect with research to back it up. I don't run around blaming other religions or ideas for the world's problems, because in the end, it all leads to one core issue that you are not getting: It's the fault of man and his willingness to use the current, most influential ideology of the time to get his way.
And what you're not getting is that your faith is a creation of lying deceitful cruel people to justify their bullshit, and has been the ultimate tool of such. You disregard all atrocities of your religion as errors of man, and point to all things good arguing the value of christianity. Take your twisted self-verifying logic back to the bronze age, you imbecile.
Toss in the other so called messiahs while you're at it. All religion has ever done is hold back our species. Not to mention legitimizing psychosis and bigotry. Not that I believe Jesus actually ever existed mind you.
oh my god why would you do this. Honestly, expressing your opinion is great but not one fueled by hate. Figure yourself out and stop being so mad at the government. Because a dead fetus really isn't joke material.
